Feras Al Safwan
Investment Manager
"I continue to be inspired by the creativity and resilience of founders, especially their ability to develop transformative solutions that tackle real-world challenges. This passion drives my focus on FinTech and PropTech-sectors that are redefining how we access financial resources and navigate the modern world."
Before joining Wa'ed, I built a career in the financial services industry, focusing on startups, SMEs, and disruptive innovations across various sectors. My journey began in corporate banking, where I worked across different segments, including SME Banking, and developed a deep appreciation for the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This early exposure sparked my passion for collaborating with founders of high-potential businesses and driving meaningful growth. Throughout my career, I have gained expertise across both sides of the SME financing spectrum-debt and equity-while serving in roles at organizations such as HSBC, Riyad Bank, Franklin Institute, The William C. Dunkelberg Fund, PwC, and EY. Currently, I serve as an Investment Manager with Wa'ed Ventures, leading investments in transformative sectors such as FinTech, PropTech, and sustainability-focused innovations. Additionally, I hold positions on multiple boards of directors and investment committees, where I oversee investments across various asset classes. Fueled by a strong passion for innovation, I strive to leverage my expertise to deploy capital into ventures that drive growth, create lasting value, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
